Andrew joined Fresh Expressions in January 2007 as the Share Website Coordinator.
Andrew Wooding is a Church Army officer who is also a freelance writer. He is a regular guest on Radio Sheffield, runs workshops on Spirituality and Doctor Who at events such as Greenbelt, and lectures on film and theology at the Wilson Carlile College of Evangelism.
Andrew was one of the early writers for the Bananaman comic strip, back in 1982. He has since written eight books for children and teenagers, including I Wonder if Chocolate Kills Brain Cells, Oodles of Poodles, and two Desperate Dan books for Ladybird (read on tape by Blackadder's Tony Robinson). His latest book for children is The Big Wow. He has led a number of creative writing workshops throughout England, as well as two intensive three-day courses in India.
He is based in Sheffield, along with his wife, Alison (also a Church Army officer), and children, Jade, Katie and Edward. He is part of Manor Messy Church, based on the Manor estate in Sheffield.
Andrew likes Doctor Who, Tiswas (he helps to run www.tiswasonline.com), prog groups like Yes, Chinese food, the Goons and Monty Python.
