Graham Cray commissioned by the Archbishop of York

A service in York Minster this week marked the Northern Province commissioning of Bishop Graham Cray as Archbishops' Missioner and leader of the Fresh Expressions team. Bishop Graham was licensed in the role by the Archbishop of Canterbury in June 2009. Tuesday's service saw him being commissioned in his work by the Archbishop of York, the Most Revd Dr John Sentamu.

Bishop Graham, who was Priest at St Michael le Belfrey, York, from 1978 to 1992, said:

Having been a priest in the diocese of York for 14 years it's a particular privilege for me to serve as Missioner to the Archbishop of York and to help develop the planting of fresh expressions of church across the Northern Province.
