Solace

Solace is a new church in a bar in Cardiff, meeting every Sunday where over a pint of beer, you are invited to come along and join in tackling some of the really big issues of life.

Launched in April 2007, Solace is going from strength to strength, so we sent Alicia Baker to find out more.

For more information, please read the story of Solace or visit the Solace website.

What's On

The Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Rowan Williams, is to be the keynote speaker at a national event in Lincoln in March which will focus on the long-term development of fresh expressions of church.

The event - hosted by Fresh Expressions at the Epic Centre, Lincolnshire Showground - will take place on March 5th 2010 and is called changing the landscape: fresh expressions and the long term.

Mission21 - Bishop Graham Cray

In Bath last month there was a major conference for churchplanters entitled Mission21. During it Graham Cray – the Fresh Expressions Team leader – took to the sofa for a special question and answer session. An edited version of this is in the main podcast and you can hear the full  version in this month's podcast extra, available to the right.

The Emmanuel Café Church

The Emmanuel Café Church in Leeds prides itself on offering ‘Real Coffee, Real People, Real Church’. Meeting on a Sunday evening in university term times, worship is contemporary, informal and creative. It always starts with coffee, but what happens next changes from week to week!

Matt Ward, the University Chaplain, explains why a fresh expression of church for students was needed in Leeds with so many churches already in the city.

For more information please read the story of Emmanuel Café Church or visit the Emmanel Café Church website.
