ReSource weekend in Oldham, Manchester.
23rd-25th March 2012
Manchester
Hosted by Chris Neilson
About the weekend
The gospel has as much to say about transforming places and communities as it does about personal renewal. Come and hear the story of The Salvation Army Eden project in Fitton Hill who are working in partnership with other service providers and community groups to bring about the regeneration of Fitton Hill.
This is a weekend to explore the role the church can play in community transformation. There will also be the opportunity to hear more about the wider work of Eden and Salvation Army projects working to support health and faith and learn about Hope Citidel Health Care, a community interest company set up and run by Laura Neilson providing primary health care to some of the more difficult areas of greater Manchester.
About ReSource
There are plenty of courses out there that impart head knowledge but we think we learn best by meeting people who are doing mission, by hanging out with their communities, hearing their stories and then thinking about what we can learn for our own contexts. Throw in some diverse contexts, some great food and inspiring other people on the weekends and you've got a great mix! That's what Resource is all about. You can dive into one weekend or do all four in a year to get a much broader experience.
