Sacramental fresh expressions study day

How can you be both a Fresh Expression and liturgical?
How do you blend ancient tradition and modern culture?
How can you encourage spiritual practice in your young people and not just play games?

Th is study day is an opportunity to explore these questions and more. It will focus on how Sacramental Fresh Expressions create worship, liturgy and dynamic activities that allow participants to experience the immediacy and grace of God.

Guest Speaker Simon Rundell will be giving a presentation on sacramental fresh expressions and young people drawing on his experiences in the Blessed community and his book Creative Ideas for Alternative Sacramental Worship and his forthcoming book Creative Ideas for Sacramental Worship with Children.

The day will also hear from a group who have been researching sacramental work with children and young people by visiting several sacramental fresh expression communities (including Grace, Moot and Transendance).

They have been exploring different forms of community, liturgy and worship in order to examine what works practically and what can enrich our practice in existing groups.

There will be an opportunity to hear the Groups findings, discuss its conclusions and get practical hints and tips for using Sacramental Fresh Expressions with from them.

There will be a range of seminars in the afternoon which will provide a chance to look at various areas in more depth. They will include developing a sacramental fresh expression within a parish setting, how sacramental fresh expressions can develop over time within community and a workshop on creating resources.

Details of workshops will be sent to delegates to sign up for in advance closer to the study day.

The cost of the day is £5 per person.
